I'm having a problem with this....the fans will not turn on period....is there a fuse or a relay that could cause them not to turn on. The car will heat up past 1/2 way and they don't kick in. Any help will be appreciated!

The engine will get up to (i think) 220* before they kick on. Mine will be almost to the 3/4 mark before it turns on.

Have you guys/girls thought about putting in a cooling fan overide switch? So you can turn the fan on whenever you wish.

If you do it right it will also come on if you don't flip the switch and the temp gets too high.

Or maybe the 160 degree thermostat from the Camaro motor....they fit.

It goes past 200 (93 up here in Canada)

160 might be to low, 180 is ok. but anyways.

yes the fans will come on at the third mark or a little below. Do the fans come on with the a/c?

Could be the relay...I'm unsure where it is.

Someone should know....but fix it soon :(

Anyone know how much a relay costs?

I'm guessing the relays since both of the fans do not come on. The relays are number 14 and 15 under the hood. But before you do that, wire the fan to the battery to see if they come on. It also could be a temperature sensor.

I was just talking to the guy looking at my car, and he said the fans are working, but they are not running at the proper speed, even when he connected them directly to the battery, does that mean the fans are on the way out?
