Ok.. well atleast I THINK its the brakes..... but most likely. When i'm braking, theres a thumping? type sound.. well not a thumping... but.. its hard to explain. thumping/thudding... and when driving, the noise will still keep going. sometimes its louder than other times etc etc. I havn't a clue how to check how worn my brakes are or whatnot, if they need changing, etc.... or how hard it is to change. Any help is appreciated :) Thanks in advance :p

Changing disc brakes is actually one of the easiest car projects.
Definitely DIY, but you should have a knowledgeble friend help you thru the first one.

Diagnosing what's actually wrong can be one of the toughest things.
Thud/thump is NOT a *normal* result of worn brakes. Something else is wrong.
Strong sounds from the undercarriage are *usually* a result of worn or broken steering or suspension components. When the brakes impart their force to the components, something shifts and hits something else thereby producing noise.
Might be cheap and easy to repair, might be tough to identify and expensive in labor and parts to repair.

Based on your lack of experience, I recommend you take the vehicle soon to a reputable brake specialist (or major chain like Firestone) for an inspection/estimate.

Good luck.

or you can read my post =) .. Brakes making noise #2. For me the metallic clunking/thumping (rhythmic) was a bad wheel bearing up front.
