Towing Part II

Okay someone just recently asked about towing with a '96 Gt with the four banger in it.

Has anyone towed with the 3400? I have an 01 4dr GT. I'm moving from Minneapolis to Bloomington Indiana and it costs a fortune to rent a truck. I would just be towing a little 4x8 trailer. I don't know what the hitch weight would be, but the total axle weight of the trailer fully loaded cannot exceed 2000 lbs. The trailer itself weighs 800 to start with (u-haul).

I really don't want to mess up my brakes or my tranny doing this.

Some guy on here just towed from florida to vancuver canada(above seattle)... So i'm sure you can do it. His thread is called: " The little GA that could..and Did." or somethign.

IIRC on a GT you will have to cut the rear bumper valance for the receiver.
