I just got this classic volt gauge, and wired it up. When I wired it to the car there were some sparks, and now the gauge won't work. Is it possible to fry it, and can it be saved?

into the radio harness. I paid $10 for it, so I decided to dissect. I'm not sure what went wrong. It didn't look burnt
