I was just wondering what you guys use for air freshener. I don't want anything strong like those little tree deals but something subtle. Any ideas?

Yankee Candle puts out air fresheners that smell like their candles. I use Honey Dew Melon for the Olds, and Clean Linen for the GT. Not overpowering @ all. That and I hang it on my parking brake........

the best I've ever had... Air Spencer. :) It can be kind of strong, but you can control the amount of smell coming out of them. Their kind of expensive at 10 bucks or so, but last for months. have to search google for them. I've owned quite a few, when I could buy them locally, but that store was sold and no longer stocked them.

Axe Body Spray...... Sounds freakin odd, but spray a bit under the seats and that car smells great for a long time.

New Car smell, once a year I bring it in to the dealership where they change the oil, plugs, fuel filter, rotate the tires and wash the engine and do a slew of other stuff for less than $120.
I don't know what they use to wash the engine but it has the new car smell.
As for any of those air freshener I noticed they leave film on a glass.

^ The Actual "new car smell" is toxic. It's a combination of the glues they use on the dash as well as the new carpeting that truly gives it the "new car smell".

It's also the plastics/glue degrading. That's what causes the "hazing" inside the windows. :) Unless, you smoke.....but that's another story. lol

Wow, thanks Gus for mentioning that Yankee Candle makes auto freshners... I am practically neighbors with their manufacturing facility here in Massachusetts and I never knew they made it..
If you have a heavy smoke smell, that product called Ozium works very well for that. They make one called New Car Smell too.

LOL !! That Ozium works well with reefer too ! Spray the interior thoroughly and close up the car overnight, and the smell should be gone the next morning. If not, then another treatment should do it.
That stuff works great.

The Yankee candle honey dew melon or cuecumber melon (not sure what it is) smells sexxxy! Could also be the fact that the hottest girl in my life had that in her car fo a little bit....then we were out the one night after I got her car inspected and washed it up for her and she was all about the Vanilla lol

I buy the ones that hang on your vents.
I didn't think they'd work well, but they do, surprisingly.
That, and depending on what one you get, it fits the interior pretty damn well.

I didnt read any of the responses but here is my opnion.
Stop using your vehicle as a trash can and you wont have to buy air freshners.

It isn't that, it's just that I am not going to change my eating habits when it gets too cold to just "crack the window." ;)

I use the ones that clip into the vents... I tend to change the scents. Cherry worked pretty well. New car didn't really smell right though. Ocean Breeze works pretty well so far.

In my car i use the little tree's air freshener but only rip the package a bit and hang it on the emergency break and the smell isnt over powering and when it goes away i rip the package a little more and the freshener lasts a couple of months or so, and its cheap at 4 dollars for a pack of 3. also ozium does work great in the house or in the car.

I used a brand from Walmart, it was a small oval that clipped onto the vent with the new car scent. The cool part about it is that it's red and has flames on it, so it looks a bit better than a pine tree.
