I have two problems. one problem is that while I'm driving I hear a ticking sound as if I had my turn signal on. Which is coming from my turn signal. What should I do? No. two my service vehicle soon light just started coming on. What could that be? What should I check to get it to stop coming on.
Where can I get a Grand Am die cast model at? I have been all over looking for one to put in my car for the car shows I enter. I have a Gulf blue metalic 2000 Grand Am SE. Please email me back when you have all the info.
Thank you.

Check that all your exterior lights are working. A burned buld will usually throw a SVS light.

As far as the die-cast model, there are none. We've been on the hunt for many many years now. With the demise of the Grand Am, I doubt it will ever happen now.

Well my SVS light is comming on. I noticed that when I start the car the passenger head light flickers and both head lights go out in day time. When I turn the head lights on by the switch only the drivers side one works. Any suggestions. I hope its not an expensive sensor or something like that.

Well I changed the passenger side light and still the light is on. At least both lights work when I turn them on manually

Sounds like you have some kind of electrical problem, which may or may not even be causing your SVS light. I've heard that the light can be triggered by things as mundane as not tightening your gascap enough after a fill-up.

As for the model, I'm afraid you're outta luck. I can't even get one of my late-model T/A, which is a much more iconic car than a Grand Am (no offense to GA owners, since I own a GA also). You can't get a Grand Am model in either die-cast or plastic. I have checked. Of course, I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this - about Grand Am's or Trans Am's.

A loose gas cap is an emissions/engine related item, which will trigger a Service ENGINE Soon light, not an SVS.

You are right that a burned-out headlight would trigger an SVS.
Now that you've replaced the bulb, disconnect the battery for at least ten minutes, for the Body Control Module (BCM, the little 'puter that controls all non-engine, non-ABS systems) to clear itself of stored codes.

If the SVS light is then still 'on', go looking for some other burned-out bulb or non-functinoning lighting system.
* Do NOT go looking for a problem with the engine/emissions/tranny, since problems there are signified by the SES light.
* Do not go looking for problems with the Brakes, since problems there (including brake lights) are signified by the Brake idiot light.
* Do not go looking for problems with the Air Bags, since problems there are signified by the Air Bag idiot light.

Basically, the SVS light indicates that a body electrical thing isn't working, and that it's a thing you might otherwise not notice (for instance, it won't illuminate when the power windows fail, since you would notice this).

Hope this helps.
