Does anyone know if its possible t adjust your auto headlights to come on a little earlier than they already do? Seems like the sensor doesnt pick up the lower light levels when there's a thunderstorm and such. Thanks

Why don't you just turn your headlights on?
But to answer your question. I'm pretty sure the sensor is in the defrost vent in the dash by the windshield. All I would do is block some of the light with a piece of tape or something similar.

thats what I usually do....but I figure its worth looking into at least....so I never have to do it manually :)

*nods* then you do it manually.. and forget to turn them off, because you never have to turn them off.

there's a photoresistor in the sensor. In theory, you could add a resistor in series or in parallel (not sure how the circuit is set up) to increase or decrease it's sensetivity. If you get a hold of the circuit diagram, maybe from a dealership, you could just add a resistor and accomplish what you want. Just a thought :)

i believe the automatic headlight system uses a photoresistor.. so what you do is check the resistance at low light levels and then add another resistor in series with a value of say 10% of the value that you just checked.. that should make the lights come on earlier

^ do you want to lower or raise the resistance?
I guess, just heck it at low and high light levels and you could figure it out.
