i just won parts off the SCT concept

i won the auction for the door panels off the SCT concept car. i really needed the enw ones since when the material on my door panels started to come up the dealer tried to fix it, but they didnt align the material up right.

heres the pic from the auction. itll also be nice to get rid of the weight of the dynamat that i have on my panels now.

d'oh... lol. There was a guy with baer brakes that was gonna buy those ASC brakes and sell me his Baer claws, and for the spoiler, whoever got that should have it reproduced and sold. I'm sure a lot of people would buy it.

and yeah, helluva deal for leather wrapped door panels and new window/door/mirror switches.

oh, and someone did bid on the seats. I wonder if it was anyone from the boards...

If the spoiler you are talking about is the D81 SCT factory spoiler, I have seen it on ebay in almost every color starting at 75.00 U.S

I think he means the SCT concept spoiler, not the factory spoiler.

The concept spoiler was slightly higher, wider, and used scaffold type legs rather than the mounts being one piece with the spoiler.

The spoiler is custom. It is about a foot wider than the SC/T spoiler and has brackets for legs.

i wonder if anyone else from this site bought anything from that car. i plan to get those seats, they are Ion redline seats, and have the red leather stitched on (some day). i will recreate that interior to some degree with my own touch added. :D

P.S. The SC/T spoiler (concept) is an original GM/ASC partnership design and held under patent. Any company attempting to sell a reproduced copy of the spoiler will be prosecuted.

The original spoiler is different than the mass produced ones you see on GAs on dealer lots.

I know that, I'm just saying if it's under patent, but they aren't ever producing any more of them, why have the patent? It's not like they're making any money off of it.

There are alot of invnetions and designs that were never produced. It's better safe than sorry. At the time, they didnt know they were only going to be building one, ya know? And they didnt want people to steal the idea when they saw it at car shows and what not.

doesnt the patent run out in 7 years? that means that the patent is out in um....2005. i wonder if thats why they finally dismantled it now. they built the car back in 98 BTW.

ok so its been 4 days now, i paid him immediately, and he hanst sent me any kind of message to aknowledge me at all. i emailed him on the 15th in the evening to see if he got the payment, no response.

im getting worried...i know its not a lot of money, but for me its a lot. my 5 month old craftsman 19.2 volt drill is broken, and i cant find the reciept so ill probably have to buy a new one, so yea...$66 is a lot to me. :(

Hi Dave; man, how I hate when that happens! I'm alsowaiting for an E-bay item to arrive (a Pontiac parts manual).
I paid him TWO minutes after the auction closed, yet they take their sweet time in correspondence and mailings. That really burns me up..
I also paid $ 2.85 for first class mailing... we'll see what the postage lable says when it finally arrives. It damn better have been mailed by First Class postage!!

ok so i must give an update. he wrote back to me...apparently the shipping cost a bit more than the $30 that i paid, more like $135, so he is looking for a less expensive way to ship them. he is not asking me to pay any more than i already have.
