Well.. I finally bit the bullett. Took the car into the shop. Yesterday and today there was a VERY bad vibration comming from the front end. That and the on-going clunking in the front. So I took her into the shop today, and got her all looked over. Turns out, at least for now, the vibration was from snow (dang CDN winter! :grr: ), but the control arm bushing was VERY bad (Thanks Jayhawk, you were right on the money for that one), so they replaced that for 300 CAD (and the swaybar link kit). On the drive home, everything seemed good... But only time will tell if something re-occurs.

phew.. Guess it coulda been worse, but all other front and back suspension checked out :D

I had the same problem in my car, too. And when I had the lowering springs installed they did the control arm bushings, so here is a heads up everyone!

IF you own a 1992 thru 1998 GA and it makes a weird clunk/popping noise from the front end, it is a very very good chance the control arm bushings are shot. It is sometimes the least looked over part of the GA suspension.

Man you got that installed pretty cheap. Mine was $200 a side!

Really?? It still wasn't cheap.... I'm pretty sure they did both.. lol.. that included the Sway Bar Link Kit... I feel like I got a good deal now :)

see now i replaced all that is mentioned on the control arm bushings, but how long are they projected? because my mounts on my car are bad, now could that cause the "poppin" noise?
