hey guys, there 174 views of this post yet only 20 people voted in the poll. Does that mean all you others don't have any a subwoofer at all? I should have included a "none" option.

I would be focused more on quality than on size, after all, it's not the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean. I personally would get Kicker Solo-Barics ?sp?.

i loveeeeeeeeee my 2 12"s... but, i did have 2 10"s before, and those were much tighter, just not as loud and with less bass... but hey, i guess it's whatever you can fit/afford ;)

Hey birdhouse that is my icon. Senority. Could you change it please.

And I thought the poll was for what size is best. I prefer 2 12s sealed or open but i dont have them yet.

most people prefer to run a larger size sub, thats fine for the average guy. The only difference typicaly between a 10 and a 12 is about 3 db in sensitivity. The twelve will move more air, but the important thing to remember is the sub is only as loud as you tune it to be.

With a little time, you could save your money by buying a ten and tuning it correctly, and i guarentee it would be louder than a twelve in a premade box
go for the ultimate, make a death box

I got some old school MTX(s) there are 2 8(s) in there own box. Each has a tweeter in each box and I don't know what to call the other one it is the same size as a tweeter but looks like a mini subwoofer. One is all I need in my car.

Got a single 10" Pioneer 450w max. It does what I want it for but I just got a new GA and I dont have it in yet due to headunit problems.....

Tho I am using my home sub to test the box on sealed vs ported.

I dunno the sub is ment for a small sealed box but it sounds pretty good in a some what larger box ported.

ok i had the alpine type e 10s then i got rid of them and got the 12s the 12s are just as tight as the 10s and way louder and go lower so i would say the 12s at least for the type e subs.
