Gas is getting up there and I seem to be getting ok gas mileage, but I was wondering if having the factory ram air on my 2.4L is hurting my fuel economy? If anyone can help me out that would be great! Thanks.

no not at all youll get better gas mileage the more air you cram in the cylinders the better gas mileage you get ghange the feul filter you will increase it there big time i did mine 2 days ago at 30000 and it was horrible i think im doing every 15000 - 20000 from now on

I tried changing my fuel filter but I couldn't get it off and I didn't want to break anything so I gave up. do you have any suggestions? Its probably overdue anyway because my car has almost 100000 on her :(

... after adding RAM-AIR to my Grand AM several years ago, I did notice a small decrease in fuel mileage (probably in the range of 1-2 MPG); although, it wasn't anything severe :)

just remember, anytime you add something that puts more air into the engine means more fuel will be used because more air = more fuel therefore less gas milage.

Docterspeed says their cold air intakes help fuel economy. Look at the stage 3 kit.

And its on sale now.

its not going to change to much that youll want to take the ram air out, and if you cant get the fuel filter off use a little pb blaster it loosens it right up

... sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you ... all I can tell you is what happened to me as I went from a NON-RAMAIR V6 to a RAMAIR V6 and I lost a little MPG ... to be honest, I never gave it much thought as to why as it didn't bother me :)
