OK, im new to these forums, im usually on TCCOA becuse my current car is a T-bird, but yeah, I was wondering, since I can prolly get my mom's 1996 Grand Am SE 2 dr with the 3100 V6 for pretty cheap, I was wondering if it's worth it to change cars..... I mean, How does the car feel in everyday driving? How is the Aftermarket? And mainly..... Does the car handle better than an MN12(89-97 Tbird or Cougar) because thats my main concern..... Any info is appreciated

well I dont know much about tbirds, but I would think it'd be a bigger clumsier car than the GA. So if handling is the priority, then yes, I think the GA would be worth it.

FWD drive cars tend to handle better in the winter...trust me i know :(...which would make me beleive they would handle better overall. The GA's aftermarket is growing but its nowhere near that of the import crowd. GA's feel very good in everyday driving, even at 100mph the ride is smooth (at least mine is). And i would think that your doing this for gas which would make me say go for it. Just don't get rid of your thunderbird cuz your gonna miss it when its gone. Just like i do to my dads old GTO :(.

don't buy one. No aftermarket.. unless you wanna spend $3000 and still run in the 15's... stick with the t-bird.
