I love my Grand Am...It has power locks...but it don't have power windows. Someone told me you could get them put in.
Is it safe to get someone to put in power windows by taking out the manual part?(I would have it done professionally) I know a lot of people say that getting a sunroof put in a car isn't good because it can leak. Are there any major downsides to getting them put in?
Also, anyone know a good price I could get it done for? It is a 2 door model.

It wouldn't cause a leak. It should be ok. You might need new door panels though.

I have a friend that go this done in his 94 4dr. He had it done professionally and they did the rest. Don't know how much it cost though. I can ask him later today.

Well the funny thing is if you don't get new pannels then everytime you push the button for them to go down or up the hand crank moves by itself. That is so freakin funny! lol

Yeah, I am really wanting to get it done.
I guess I would need to get new panels...the door handle moving on it's own would be funny though... :D

My friend got it done so long ago that he doesn't remember how much it was. When it was done though, they replaced the crank with some sort of cap, so the cap just rotates.
