NNOOOOO some girl came out of her drive way and hit my car. Now I have to find a shop to take it to and fix it. The hood was not damaged so that is a HUGE plus. The fender and door will have to be replaced. now how long will it be out.. I don't know.

nothing was damaged except for the fender and door. The hood was okay and so are the skirts. :) but the door looks like it will need to be replaced because it is a little popped out and will not bend back in. :(

just will have to see if a body shop will be able to do,should get a free estimate and whether or not it can be fixed without having to replace the whole door

No she was really quite. But all info was obtained from my friends dad and son.
My friends dad is a cop and his son is a cop. So 2 cops where at the scene so she can't deny it happend. She called her parents and they want to get it fixed outside of insurance. I don't mind but they have to know that I will have last say on where it goes to get fixed.
I am giving them a lot by not making it an insurance incident so I am hoping they understand that I will want to take it to where I want to.

The door is easily repairable. it will most likely go as follows; Replace fender, repair door, refinish fender, blend within door, blend rocker & blend bumper. Since he has a carbon fiber hood they will obviously not have to blend into the hood.:) It'll most likely be about 6 hrs of body time & 8 hrs of paint time.
That is, as long as there's no other damage that I cannot see.

well no police report was filed. This was done because we did not want to get the insurance involved. They agreed to pay for the damages.
NOTE: it happend while I was parked infront of my friends house. Well my friends brother and dad are both Houston Police Department officers. His brother was the one who took down the information on his Police report. He has not filled it because we both agreed to keep it out of insurance.
Now if she backs out.. I have 2 police officers who were at the scene and one who filled out the report but did not turn it in based on our decisions.
she seemed like a nice girl. She was leaving her b/f house when it happend. Now her b/f lives w/ his dad and they all know each other for years. Great people so this also made me feel more at ease when agreeing to no insurance.

you can file a police report so you have record with out it ever going on an insurence record. The only time that will bite the girl in the butt is if she decides to swap insurance. but if insurance does not pay out they dont care.

I hope you didn't get screwed :(
How easy is it to say "Sure! We'll pay for the damage" Then.. when the 1200 dollar quote comes around.. They suddenly don't remember ever even having met you

That is just horrid man. I'm not so sure about your decision with the insurance either, but I guess your the one who talked to the girl. One question, I'm assuming she was backing out from across the street, HOW IN THE **** DO YOU BACK OUT THAT FAST STRAIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD!?!?! daaaayum people need to learn to be careful. It's a shame that happened to your beautiful car! I too hope that it all gets fixed the correct way.
