i'm looking at swapping motors in my 95' grand am. It currently has a 3100 but it has 210K on it and i'm exploring the option of a engine and tranny swap. The thing is I want to put in a 3400 and the cpu instead, does any one have any suggestions on how to make this work and any problems i may run into?

The 3400 is almost a direct fit to your car and transmission. Look at www.3400swap.com for a detailed how-to. You don't really need a new cpu to run the 3400. The stock one is adaptable enough to run a 3400 decently.

Yeah definitly has to be one of the easiest swaps there are.

not too expensive either... just find an old 3400 at a junkyard and build it up for the swap... do everything while it's out of the engine that way it'll be all done when you put it in and you won't have to struggle with any of the mods. cuz there's not a lot of space in that engine bay... at least on mine there isn't.....
