on my 93 the paint is starting to thin on the front and rear bumpers. the back, if u look at an angle in the sun, u can just tell its fading. and on the front there are small white circle things that you can notice up close. both bumpers are plastic. my car is a deep blue but the bumpers are starting to turn more of a greenish color. you cant really tell whats goin on unless u r up close, i didnt notice till recently. the car has been garaged all her life and has been waxed about once or twice a year. is there any thing i can do?

New bumpers is the only real 'long term' solution I can think of..

Or you could just run the car through an acid rain car wash

Well, if you just repainted the bumpers.. And considering the age of the car... The bumpers freshly painted wouldn't match the car.. So, replace the bumpers with ones that aren't faded.. But now that I'm sitting here trying to explain it... You'd have to paint the new bumpers anyway... Sooooooooo... you win  But I still think Maaco is not the way to go :P

OK.. smarty pants.. lol... the car is a 1993.. the guy is 15 years old... the car blue books at what?.. like $1500? if that? now.. if he took it in for a perfessional paint job.. it would run him $1000-$2000... which.. would concider the car totaled. Now if he went to maaco.. he could have them spray a couple more years on to the car.. and he can pay for it with his paper route.

to tell the truth u cant even notice the paint difference, i'm justa perfectionist and i was just wondering what i could since i will probably have the car for another 10 years at least. just until i get outa college and make some ends meet.

P.S. Paper Route??? That is something a 10 year old does! we have had this car since new, i got it back in april before i even had my driving permit. I turn 16 in a week, and even though im a junior, i should be a sophomore. I dont mean to sound like an a$$ but...:???:

oh and the car is only worth a little over 1000 bucks, it sucks since we know in terms of reliability it should be worth so much more!
