My tires have less than 6,000 miles on them. I got an alignment the week i got the tires. The steering wheel was slightly crooked when the did the alignment so a few months later, it started pulling to the right, and I had them fix it made them realign it and straighten the steering wheel. I get it back, still not strait and still pulls. I was putting new brakes on(a few weeks ago) and my stepdad said my right tire was wearing weird and really fast. He told me to have them check the alignment. Well today I got an oil change and decided to have them fix it again. I know the person at the shop who did it. He said he checked it and made sure the steering wheel was straight. Well guess what? Steering wheel is crooked and it still pulls. Tomarrow i'm gonna take it to the tire place. I think they might not have correctly balanced the tire. I don't even have enough miles for my first free rotation(6-8,000). Maybe i'll get new tires.

Sounds to me like you still have an alignment problem. Try a different alignme4nt shop, it's very possible their equipment is either very old, or out of adjustment. It's the bad alignment that's likely causing the uneven wear.
Another possibility is that you have a ball joint that's failing.
If it's pulling I doubt it has anything to do with balancing the tire. You may also have a bad tire. Any parts not to spec should have been caught by the shop doing the alignment, if they are any good. Did you have a front alignment or 4 wheel? FWD cars should have 4 wheel alignment. Was your car ever accidented? If everything else checks out I'm wondering if you have a bent frame.

If they are competent they would not have done a front alignment with a loose ball joint or tie rod (sounds like one of those is your problem). Sounds like they didn't even check. As for the rear, it is a solid piece, but can be adjusted with a shim. Did they do that?

Well, I have a bent rim. It is the right one. And Goodyear, The place that did the alignment, said that the bushings? are worn out and that i would have to pay like $500 to replace them if i wanted my steering wheel straight. I don't know? As for the rim, I guess i better find another one.

... were the bushings bad when they aligned it?? If so, I would ask them for my money back for the alignment since they should of known better since there is no sense aligning a car that way ... they can't have it both ways, I mean they can't tell you that "the car isn't aligned because of broken parts" and then "take your money to align a car they know can't be aligned" ... I'd ask a few more questions :pissed2:

I agree competely!
How did the rim get bent? It should have been seen when they did the original alignment if it was bent before. Also, if I have this straight from your posts, you installed new tires and within a week you had the alignment done? Tires & alignment done at same place? Alloy rims? Maybe the tire installer bent the rim. It can be done if it is some doofus doing it. Ask questions. In the end, you're going to be out if the service was done at 2 different places, cause now they will be pointing fingers at each other. Good luck.

I have the same problem, minus the bent rim, but my tierods are worn. It pulls right, but steering wheel is cocked left. The alignment shop ruined my tierods. So to get back at them I will replace them and never use them again, nor will I refer anyone to them. The won't take responsibilty for it, so I figure, I just won't give them my biz. I also have to replace my rack. It is leaking. So I will do both at the same time. Probably next weekend. Then off for an alignment Monday Morning.
