Window stains???

AHH, i need help with this. I think my dang windshield is STAINED! you can see, very easilly, where the windshield wipers travel, and it is clean. But above that, the winshield appears dirty. I've tried cleaning it, but it stays. any deep cleaning ideas i dont know about?? also, any ideas how to get rid of rain spots?

I have a similar problem.

When the car is dirty or condensation forms on the windsheild you can see the outline of the Wipers and the old $18,000 price tag that was written on the windsheild.

I use Mothers Pre-Wax on the windsheild...it cleans it up pretty well. But the numbers are still there.

Try shaving the area with a safety razor. You can also try alcohol.

I have the same problem but mine also looks like it has dirt permanatly stuck to it but it is clean. Will this saftey razor/ alcohol trick work on that too?

The razor doesn't dig into the glass, hold it at an angle and it removes anything on the glass. I use it on spots that the glass cleaner leaves behind.

I get my windshield completely clean before I put the RainX on.

Use a straight edge razor blade in a scraper... Any store has them I"m sure.. But go to a hardware store or walgreens or something like that

I'm not sure how you guys have done it, but I fist spray some light oil on the glass (WD-40) then scrape with the razor...works a little better.
