I found that the Chrome Techs are like the vehicle paint. I had real chrome before and the Chrome techs don't respond well to the same cleaners and polish I used before.
Meguires wax worked the best. Made the wheels smooth and gave them a bright shine that lasted through a couple of car washes.

Can someone recomend something that will clean and protect wheels against magchloride(sp)? Its a liquid used on the highways in the Denver area and is very corrosive.

I also swear by that Meguiar's NXT wax. My nephew is a professional auto detailer and he clay-barred my GT1 for me. He recommended that I use the NXT as he uses it for some of his vehicles that he details.
I tried that NXT and it is phenominal.... I was so pleased that I sent Meguiar's an e-mail to tell them how much I liked their product.
Hope this doesn't sound like an endorsement for the product...just passing along my experience with my friends here.
That stuff works great......
Take care everyone...

i'd also like to add that at the albany meet we learned alot about high end cleaning products from The Detailed Image. One of the things they recommended was a wheel polish... it'll help keep the dust to a minimum (which will make it easier to clean) and help to protect the wheels, just like wax on paint :)
