They are same 3400 V6 engines. Ram Air just has some fancy tubing that doesn't do jack.

I replaced my stock airbox and Ram Air tubing with a cold air intake. It gives me more gain.

I want to fab up a ram air system on my 97 GT, nothing special, I just want the shroud, and then some piping to direct air towards my WAI, I think it will help slightly more than not having it

Mostly marketing and the placebo effect. Internally the engines are identical.

no question is dumb buddy.
Note, when you say regular engine, you are referring to the V6 and V6 ram air.
Yeah like everyone said, the egines are the same except for the intake tubing, which is nothing huge. A CAI will give a better result than the ram air.
Now, the major difference in the two are mainly cosmetic. the SE v6 car and the GT v6 car. Bumpers, speedo, all disk breaks, and tranny settings I think, ect.
