18in. Motegi Gunmetal DPKs

I finally bought some aftermarket rims for my car, next im either going to drop her, or put some sort of bodykit on her. There 18in. Motegi Racing DPKs, gunmetal with a silver machined lip.

great looking GT there! We have a GTO at work that the General Manager drives that has those same wheels but in chrome,looks damn good

I'm not crazy about the stock tail lights for some reason, i never was and I figure if im going with an aftermarket hood,rims,stereo,intake,and other misc interior/exterior things i might as well get some aftermarket tails, i am getting somewhat sick of the silver titanium look on them and was thinking about getting some carbon fiber tycs though -- I think that they would match my c/f hood and gumetal rims perfectly. But regardless i respect your opinion, and love the color of your car by the way.

thanks man, i know what you mean....i was thinking for awhile about the aftermarket tails but finally decided cleared gt tails look best....however, i think the cf tails would look better on your car w/ that hoood/rims....cuz the chrome just isnt flowing with your silver right now.

Rims look great your car looks awesome. But deffinetly go with some CF TYC tail's.

I feel bad for ball bustin' but to me, the car is nothing spectacular. I mean, the headlights look great, but the whole combo of the tails, the hood, and the wheels, I just cant get with it.

I realize Im one of the dreaded 077 owners, but its not like the gunmetal w/ chrome lip look is a rare one. But if you wanted to go that route, I definitely think there are nicer lookin rims you could have went with. That said, I guess they look fine.

My suggestions?
- Paint the calipers black or go back to silver, the red is just out of place and distracting
- Tint the tails (the whole car being silver and black would look NICE)
- Save your dollars up and get your hood painted. Think up a cool design to leave some of it unpainted to show off the CF, but cover some of it up.

My two cents, take it or leave it. Regardless, keep on moddin!

Well first off, my intent on the rims was never to try and be rare, i got the rims w/ brand new tires for a mere $600 at a car show in madison, i basicly got the rims for free and just paid for new tires. Second, im going to be getting some carbon fiber tails, that would go with my black/silver theme, and third - the thought of painting my hood has come to mind and in the future its a possibilty---the whole c/f thing is a personal preference some people like and some just dont.
And my red calipers are meant to distract you, i wouldn't have painted them if i didnt intend on making them stand out. I guess i dont understand your comment, you have red calipers on your car though, wtf ???

Why would you want to distract people and bring attention to your stock braking setup? Whatever floats your boat. As for mine, the red and black goes together well anyway, but they match the accents provided by the tycs. Take a look at the shots. Silver and red isnt the best combo.

Just my take though, so dont get too up in arms.

[edit] Oh yea, nice find with the rim price too. I didnt say you were trying to be different, just that everyone else in general cracks on 077s and then picks up rims that look like what everyone who DOESNT have 077s gets.

oh first Brad you say u dont liek the headlights, now u say u do....pick one. i PERSONALLY liek them. and as for the calipers mine are red and they flow VERY nice with a silver car.as well a black car *AHEM* as for the C/F hood. that is your personal preference...C/F and silver DO go together well. i have seen other silver cars (that are not grand ams) that have C/F hoods and they look great. overall i like SeDan's car. except for the tail lights ...sorry :)
