I'm driving a 5 speed '96 GAGT 2.4L twin cam and i wanna get a cat-back set up. I'm leaning towards SLP. I want to learn everthing about them, how to get them, if i need 2 mufflers... everything. I have done some research and have learned that SLP is a little cheaper, and I shouldn't get a flowmaster with a V4. I want alot of volume, but I dont want to sound rice-y like my buddy's 240sx. Holler back

SLP doesn't make a bolt on cat-back for the 2.4 and plus it will sound raspy, even with the v6 it has been known to sound raspy. Ive got a FlowMaster 80 series on my 2.4(cat-back piping,so in other words its a custom cat-back exhaust) It sounds great at idel and up to like 3500 RPM but then gets a little raspy but Im trying to find out what to add to get rid of it,possibly a glass pack muffler(those small long round mufflers)
Your only bet is to have a custom exhaust made. Buy a good brand muffler and have piping mandrel bent so it doesnt kink and get smaller in spots. Ive heard Borla mufflers and they sound great, nice and deep but with out 4cyl(not V4 bud, hehe) we will always tend to get raspy, just not enough cylinders to get that deep sound, even the v6 guys have some trouble too

couple things...you don't have a V4, it's an inline 4. The SLP doesn't fit that model year, it's only for 99+. I think you can have it modified to fit, but you might as well just get a custom setup from a performance shop.
www.pfyc.com has the SLP system if that's the route you want to take. Get some input from guys who have modified it before you buy of course. Good luck :)
