? on how to remove e brake

i have a red 99 gt and the inside is trimmed out in red i just finished my shift boot and now i want to do the e brake boot. can the handle be removed

i did a search and couldnt find anything help would be greatly appreciated

When you take off the center console the boot will slip right over the handle. Sorry I have not removed the e brake handle though.

An electric solenoid to pull on the E-brakes and doing away w/the handle would be cool. All that you would see would be a switch of some kind, Wow.

You have to remove the console. The e brake boot is screwed all the way around the opening and the screws are on the inside.

Well i also wanna replace the handle, and thanks for the help guys guess i gotta brake down the console this weekend? I was wanting to put a chrome handle with red rings from autozone on there but i couldnt figure out how to get it off.
