The theory is good...isolate the TB to keep it cooler, and you'll get more power. But in reality, how much cooler is it going to be? and with the small change in temp, what's the gain really going to be? I say don't waste you money, put it towards something better.
BTW if you notice the site just gives the theory, but doesn't present any hard numbers.

ive got the one from pfyc.com had to mod it to fit the engine it fits. how fun was that! it wasnt easy to cut!
it did act a tidge different from what it did before i had it... but hp gains you wont feel/notice it at all. get a cai if your looking for something easy and feel some power with a mod.

Originally spacers weren't developed to isolate heat from the TB, but to add volume to the manifold plenium. Added volume will generally result with more torque. After added a spacer and a flow booster to my '92 Z28 my power felt much smoother from 2000-5600rpm.

notice the theory says its a myth for SFI! but if you have a tbi or carbuerated(sp?) engine, then it will effectively show gains...
and im thinkin' that Tuned-Port Injection you had in the Z was slightly different than the sequential system used in the LA1 engines.. of course unless your Z didnt have the optional TPI engine, then Im just full of shit :D

will suposidly they are to give more time to atomize the fuel before the valve on carb. engines.
But if you can add more volume to the plentim in therory it would help.
longer runs are suposed to help also but intake spacers tested didnt show to work eather.
Save the cash get a ram air hood, minus plastic incerts if you want a cooler TB

Th eonly real difference in the TPI setups and a SFI is the injector pulses. SFI njectors fire individually as where TPI is a batch fire systme like the old MPFI cars and fires in in batch squence. Other than that air delivery, etc is simular.

One person on 60degreev6.com used 1" spacers between the upper and lower intakes and saw no benefit. And it added more volume and runner length then a throttlebody spacer will.
