I have a '95 GT with the 3100. The car has roughly 190,000 miles with stock piping. I do have stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers. I noticed in the past week my catalytic converter gave me definate signs it was clogging. So I did a quick fix, and cut it off and put a pipe in place, it runs fine like that actually. That will work for now....but I'd like something permanant.

The piping is starting to look pretty rough, and I was curious what would be the best thing to do? Should I get a new converter, get rid of the resonator, and have all new piping ran to my Magnaflow mufflers? Or have no converter, no resonator, new piping, and the Magnaflow mufflers. I'm afraid if I do that though, I might lose too much back pressure.

Also, is 2 1/4" piping ok for my car? And, are the Magnaflow converters good? Thanks!

-Go with 2.5"
-They're good; Catco's are $60 just flow as well
-Mention straight pipes and people will go into cardiac arrest as if you said a racial slur. Don;t ask; I'm gonna test pipe myself once I get a DOHC head from a guy and other parts (gonna need 2.25" for a 4 banger)
