Well i had got rear ended...so i got a new rear bumper....and i decided i might as well get the aed fenders...so i then figured might as well just get the whole car repainted again (red).. :)

thats 3 years in the making....i worked hard for eveything....paid for it all myself....if u want something enough...you can get it done....plus i was smart about it.... i first bought my AED wing off another user (bargain)....then eventually i saved up some money and bought the rear/front bumper/side skirts off AED....saving wasent that hard....i then sold my entire GT kit to some SE dude along with my stock hood for $600....i put that $600 towards a new AED hood...i added $500 of my own money to that making it $1100 for the AED hood...tail lights i paid AED every few months $100 until i paid off the aed tails, then i finally got them...and my fenders...bought them used....$325 shipped opposed to buying them brand new for $625.....as for the full paint job....well i got rear ended....damage was to my rear bumper, tail light, a lil bit of my trunk...plus since i got the fenders, the body ship guy was like "how about i just charge you a tiny bit more and paint your whole car for u"...i was like HELL YEAHH...so yeh...thats that :D

I don't see how he's being a hyprocrite...

He said aed is borderline rice, but it still looks good. Maybe you missed that part, and however I happen to agree with that statement as well. Well maybe not the body kit just the 'wings', but that is my own opinion on it. To each their own.

Don't know for sure Gus, but when I read it what I gather is that he's doesn't particularly care much for the AED kit on '96-'98 GAs, however his car looks good and is giving him props for repersenting his favorite year GAs.

Be careful that you dont get to much paint film build up on the car, anything over 10-12 mils is to thick and you will have problems with cracking and peeling and chipping.

it means even if he riced out his 96-98 GA, it still looks better than a 99+ in my opinion.

If you really want the bottomline from me, then this could get ugly.

AED, in my opinion is not the greatest company (for very obvious reasons, see the numerous threads here where i bash aed... coughHEADLIGHTScough)

So both you and pey have aed GAs, thats great for you, you like that style.
That, however is not my style, I think it looks ricey.. However, if you r car MUST be AED ricey, then id rather it look like peys GA.

I wish I could get my car repainted. I have a crack on my hood and some touchup paint on one of my panels that the last owner put on, not obvious but it bothers me.
