what is the speed limiter set at on a GT? just curious

126 MPH, assuming you're talking about 1999-2005.

SE w/16" wheels = 112 MPH
SE w/15" wheels = 105 MPH

Yes, but it requires reprogramming the PCM.

there is a few ways to go beyond the limit that its set at! I found that if i disabled/reset my BCM/[body control module] temporarily what happens is it goes into a[relearn mode] for up to,the next, I believe 200-250miles inwitch I have had mine near the 150mph,[147mph] mark on the factory display! yes this car is stock 3.4L/h.o. 2dr.auto/89-octane/HOW EVER one may look at it,this modification was FREE!! and no hassle/took 1min.to enable.yet this is just one way i found to drive w/excitement!!! oh yeh the way i found out,involved no more than just a simple certain Fuse and procedure but i should warn you 55mph is the plenty fast enough, oh i forgot the disclaimer! i will see how this turns out regaurding that if i completly detail the mod.what would you think most of the rickyracecar speed demons trying to tinker around with a system that has more FUNCTIONS than most even know!! have fun be safe and Don't try this at home.

That is retarded. Your tires are not rated to go that fast and there for a govener was put on to prevent it. Have fun blowing out a tire at that speed...let us know how it works out for you :roll2:
