will a stock gt muffler direct fit to replace a stock se muffler for ga's 2002 and newer? if so does anyone have a stock muffler they want to sell? want it more for appearance than performance. spotted one on ebay that the owner had taken off as soon as he drove the car off the lot (muffler was brand new) that went for $39.00. not looking to spend more than that, and would like to get one in really good shape. sorry if you feel this is the wrong forum, it didn't look like the wanted forum gets much love.

The GT muffler will fit on with some pipe welding. It will mount using the factory hangars. A few of us have done this mod. ;)

Alot of people think dual tips look bad on the SE, but I like it.
As soon as I get some more money I'm getting a cutom made cat-back setup with square shaped quad tips...still debating on what muffler I want though...hmmm

I put the SLP cat back on my ecotec. Anything that is for the V6 will also bolt up to the 2.2L piping. All the hangers are the same.
I put two resonator tips on mine for the winter and it knocked a lot of the sound volume down.

i knew it would i had to play dumb to make my self feel better about putting here instead of the wanted forum. so does anyone have one they want to get rid of ? thats the important question. would prefer to arrange a pick up rather than ship.

I think the stock GT muffler actually looks better on the SE. But that's just me. :)

This is why you might have better luck in the Wanted section. :)

Try some local junkyards. No one goes there for a used muffler, they should be cheap. I don't know if the Alero has the four tips but it should fit too.
