ok heres the deal, i want an exhaust that can turn heads but not be super loud. i want an exhaust that will have a decent tone with a cool sound to it but nothing too throaty. i probably wont buy a whole system, just a muffler with tips..oh and my dad is an exhaust guy so we can do it right in my garage! so what will give me a cool sounding tone that dont sound like a truck yet sounds awesome? ps i tried searching but there were so many threads and couldnt really find what i was lookin for.

The Borla cat-back is probably the most mellow yet deep sounding exhaust you can get.

never heard a glass pack on a 3.4 but for big engines they are pretty throaty. im not really lookin for super throaty, just a sweet ass tone. glass packs are cheap too though, like 20-25per muffler but i heard they wear out over time and need to be replaced much sooner than performance mufflers. at least thats what my dad says and hes been a custom pipe bender(exhaust) for like 20 years. but they do sound angry.

If ya cant afford to do it right dont do it at all. Gotta pay to play.

where abouts in michigan are you located? I'm looking to have exhaust work done. Here's my plans.

SLP Grand Prix muffler, needs different mounts on it but will fit just right in a 95ish GASE style, only better. It was a part of a SLP CatBack I parted out.

Weld the tip back on. It had a rusty exhaust clamp on it and I ended up cutting about 1/2 way through the pipe. Oops.

2.5" manifold back... maybe 2.25" manifold to cat will help with scavenging? Still deciding there.

But yea, that's the jist of it.
