Ok I was at the dealer today checking out a 2004 Grand Prix GTP. Ok I am really dumb, but I know the 3800 is a 60 degree motor. That isn't what makes me dumb. I thinking I might be able to bolt the 3800 SC intake on the 3100. I just may have to have it narrowed. I think the 3800 is a little taller so the intake might be a little wider. I don't know. But I am going to go the junk yard in a the next couple weeks and have a look around and see what I can get myslef into......hehehehehehe....

Umm, the 3800 is a 90 degree V6, not a 60.

Are you sure. I thought for sure the 3.1, 3.4 and 3.8 were 60 and the 3.0, 3.3 and 4.3 were all 90's. i will have to re-research. That motor is awefull narrow I thought to be a 90. But hey I have been blitzed before.

the 3.8 is definately a 90* you might be thinking of the 2.8, thats another 60*

The 2.8l MPFI, 3.1l MPFI, 3100, and 3400 are all 60 degree V6s.

The 3.0l, 3300, and 3800 are all 90 degree V6s.

The 4.3 is a 350cid V8 missing two cylinders (literally-check it out), and has nothing in common with any of the above engines - it is part of the Vortec engine lineup.

(And you think the 3800 looks narrow? You must think the 3100 looks like a fat four-cylinder then.... :lol: ...... the plastic engine cover hides a lot of it - the 3.8l V6 is a LARGE engine.)
