Consumer Reports surveyed the owners of more than a million vehicles. Owners were surveyed through the magazine's Web site and through surveys mailed to subscribers. To calculate predicted reliability for 2006 model-year vehicles, the magazine averaged overall reliability scores for the last three model years, provided that the vehicle remained substantially unchanged over that time. For vehicles that were new or substantially redesigned during that time, data from the just one or two years was used.

So how come I've never received a survey? Even when we did have a subscription to their toilet paper substitute. Please go back to rating toasters, and leave cars to people that actually test them!

I used to buy into thier b.s. propaganda sharade too. I had, in the past boughten quite a few things they recomended. Ended up with nothing better than the ordinary. What really sticks out in my mind is that Sharp barnd vaccum cleaner they ranked the highest back in the mid 90's- what a f**king piece of junk that turned out to be!
I havn't picked up an issue in years & probably never will again. After getting burnt on several "highly ranked" purchases I realized it's a joke.

GO look at a Scion Tc dash, I wouldn't even call that POS plastic. It's one of the big reasons we didn't look further into purchasing a Scion.

I don't think that the Solstice is Pontiac's halo car. It is a $20K sports car for everyman. That's the beauty of it. It looks like it costs 2x it's list price and offers a great chassis, execellent steering response, and most importantly rear wheel drive in a vehicle that us poor working class guys can afford. If your looking for the crown jewel try the GTO-R or perhaps a GXP.

I agree. Even a year from now if you ask someone to name the first vehicle that comes to mind when you say 'Pontiac' I bet maybe 5 times out of 10 they will say GTO with not nearly as many saying Solstice. As much as I like the little car, there are other vehicles that will grab the spot light first.
