Well I posted some pics of this last night in a different thread. I thought it was worthy of its own thread. I have finished sanding it and it is in primer now. I will be painting it and installing it within the week. (I hope)

Is that a universal gauge pod and you are molding it in to your original pillar to make it look stock?

Well originally I had no intention of molding it, so I did what everyone eles seemed to be doin and I got the mustang one. I had it on for about 3 months now or so and just didnt like the way it looked, so I decided to mold it.

Yeah at first I was like, there is no way to get this thing off, but it turned out to be pretty simple. Start from above the door and just pop it out slowly. There should be 4 clips holding it in. I clip above the door and 3 on the actual pillar itself.

I know... but interior was second on the list of "things that feel like they will break"... see my transmission thread. Looks like interior is on the backburner once again.

Dam anouther one of my threads back from the dead. Yeah I cut a large hole in the original pillar. As far as sand paper, just start with a low grit. I think I started with 80. Then work your way up as high as you need you feel to go. I dont remember what I ended off with but you can figure that part out. As far as paint. I found paint that almost matches exactly. Its Dupli-Color Import Auto Spray. The Color is just called dark grey. There is a number code on top of the color name, I'm assuming its the paint code or somthing so here it is E8801557. Like I said that color is pretty dam close to the original color. I used a few coats then i cleared it.

Newbies and wannabe's take note...
DIY, home made, one of a kind mods = custom
Order from a catalog, over the counter parts bolted on = personalized.
Any questions?

joe did u have any problems with cracking or anything?
after i got mine in i realized i had a crack. it pisses me off but i dont feel like taking it all out again to fix it.
96gagt4door: i had to cut a portion of my apiller just to fit one of my guages. i also used the same paint i was already using for the interior. As for sanding i started with 80 and ended with 1500 .
