K so I have a 3 guage pillar with some autometer gauges (A/F ratio, Volts, Oil pressure) sitting in my garage right now.
Is it possible to wire up the volts and af ratio to the PCM instead of to the O2 sensor and the battery i presume for the volts?

I wouldnt, really. Splicing into the O2 wire will be a, lets say, $100 screw up if you do somthing wrong. On the other hand, if you mess up that harness, yyou are looking at significantly higher costs.
Or for some bizzare reason, you wire somthing up wrong and spike the PCM with 12 volts. Well, we wouldnt want that to happen. :)
I say go with has been tried and tested, let someone else risk it. =P

And I moved the thread. We like to keep the Main forum clear of technical questions. :)

I prefer to make all my connections at the PCM, however it's very difficult and time consuming to identify the specific wire you are looking for in the PCM harnesses unless you have a detail shop manual specific to you year/engine/PCM, etc. (GM/Helms manual = my bible) Without one, it's simply easier and less chance of error running connections to the individual sensors under the hood.

Ummm, where do you think the 02 sensor gets its wiring from?
I spliced mine at the Computer, I even ran a two way toggle switch so I could flip inbetween 02 sensors and read both of them. Granted, I dont think I have EVER looked at the gauge.....

Obviously...but my adage is "safer than sorry". If you want to splice near the computer, go for it, but you take more risk damaging somthing else; It CAN happen.
Safer than sorry.

Why not just use this? A/F Gauge Pigtail (http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Product_Code=PN3010&Product_Count=12&Category_Code=GAUNDER)

Agreed. $16 is steep considering you still have to run the line into the car.
Why the 2 o2 sensors? One in each bank?

I ran my A/F gauge straight to the PCM. It's the only purple with gray stripe wire on the PCM
