Installing cd player in 96 grand am...help

I'm getting ready to install a cd player in my 96 grand am. I'm familiar with installing stereos. My only question is the dash removal. instead of simply removing a panel, it looks like I'm going to have to remove a good portion of the dash. Can anyone confirm this, or does anyone have any advice for this installation? thanks.

you have to remove the whole bezel that surrounds the gauges, radio and HVAC controls. remove the two screws that are just above your gauges, then there are two screws below the HVAC controls, IIRC, in that little compartment. after that, its just popping that bezel off.
