are you planning on using an amp or just power from your deck?

Also, are you just considering getting them because they are "5-way" speakers???

My advice, as always is ditch the 6x9s altogether. Add a good component set up front and separate amp, plus a sub and amp in the trunk and you're going to be doing a lot more for yourself than adding aftermarket 6x9s. More expensive? Yes, but definitely worth saving money for instead of wasting it on 6x9s. If you really want to keep 6x9s in there I'd say stick with the factory ones.

It all depends on what you want to use the system for.
I put some Pioneer 3 way 4x6's up front because my stock set failed, then I put some Pioneer 3 way 6x9's in the back. Then I followed that up with a low end Pioneer head unit. Compared to the POS stock stereo/tape deck and speakers, the sound was much, much, better than before.
I didn't want to bother with subs or amps, because they simply weren't necessary for my application. I only needed a decent CD player and a decent set of speakers to improve the sound on my daily drives and long trips, and I am 100% satisfied with the quality and sound.
Besides, most of my money goes towards the 'performance' aspect of my car. Stereo systems belong in houses and Hondas. To each their own.
But if you want to deafen yourself, sure, go all out. :D

i put a good set of 6x9s in the rear for rear fill, but rely on the components up front to give me the great sound.

It looks to me that you just want something better than stock, so those should be fine.
I personally am not a fan of the 6X9 set because you won't ever hear the 4th and 5th drivers, as they are beyond the range of human hearing which, at our age, is ~20-16500Hz.
They just push those "5 ways" and 20-32000Hz stuff because people who don't know a lot about audio like big numbers.
That and as the others say, rear speakers are mainly for "fill" not highs, so I would stick with your stock 6X9s and put that $90 toward a nice set of 5 1/4 front components or the Polk MMC460s

actually, the higher response frequency is kind of nescisary, because even though you only hear up to around 17k hz. the stuff above that adds a sort of depth to the music. like when you go to a concert, some of the notes you are hearing, you cant hear, but it adds a depth of field to speak.
you can ask any audiophile about this and he will tell you its true. without going to atleast 20k hz, the sound will sound flat and very grey in the higher octaves.

if anything convert the front to 6 1/2" with some plates they sell on ebay or jus make them fit by cuttin up that plastic thats in the way....i have those same front speakers they sound great but i also have 3 way 6x9's in the back and I have to fade my music to the front cause the 6x9's are louder than the 4x6's....component is way to expensive but sonner or later i plan on getting them

im thinking of putting componets all the way around. mmc5250's in the back and mmc6500's in the front. and a 12" dayton sub.
the drivers will be driven by a 50*4 orion amp (4004) and the sub by a 2 chanel amp driven in mono. (4002) to hopefully pull off 400 watts.
does anyone know if that amp can be bridged into 2 ohms?
ny the way, can you gimme a link to an ebay auction for the plate to get a 6.5" spkr up front. i thought you could just bolt it to the panel.

I just installed pioneer 5 ways and noticed a huge difference in sound quality. I had to turn the fade towards the front because the rear speakers were louder than the front ones.

The 6x9s that you have listed are good speakers. But If you are planning to buy them. Check around a bit more. Try a small local shop, they might have better price then $89 buck like the sight says. I sell them in my shop for $65
