Uuuh.. light.. problem?

So yeah today i was coming home from work... and i flick on my high beams and boom.. no lights... so i thought, hey no biggie, my high beams must be burnt or something... going down the road and making sure my low beams are on, my high beams flick on when a car is coming and almost hits me.. nice info eh? so whatever, fiddle with the light switch thingy and get my low beams, notice they stayed on high beams and fiddled till it was low... then put my brakes on, high beams come on, like woah bessy whats wrong now?! yeah well after getting pissed off and wanting to drive my P.O.S. GM off a cliff, i decided to find out whats up. tried to turn my low beams on.. would NOT go on. got them on... and stood there scratchin my ass tryin to fiqure what the hell is going on, and then watched the lights go freaking INSANE and flickering incredibly fast and was freakin out, so i think the best thing to do is to bring it to my pontiac dealership and let them sort it out and make them pay for their shotty work :-p, sounds like a plan? (I do have after market type light things, that use the same wattage so that shouldnt be a problem, but both high/low beams work... they are just... shorting out or i dunno.

I think i'm gonna check the fuses in the car just to make sure its not anything like that.. cuz it seems like... theres a wire just touching another one or something.. make sense?? but that wouldnt explain the... put the lever forward/back and not getting anything, and then put it normal and it would either be high or low... depends on [insert answer here]

(ooops.. sorry forgot about the edit button.. i'm just a bit.. confused :-p)

looked at lights again, and it seems high beams just kill the fog lights. I'm gonna try replacing the bulbs and see if that works.

...would dead high beams mess up the lights like that and feel like they're shorting out?

Yeah it was the lights. when the high beams go, then it is totally funky. and shorts the fogs like theres no tomorrow. replaced lights to the stock bulbs and tada. all done =) w00t. ok GM isnt so bad now :p... even though the plastic retainer thingys are useless.
