I was just wondering what people thought of these (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-43YjYGnQqfq/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=510&I=037ABB102Q) ? I know they arnt the best but do you think they would sound nice or not? I dont know much about what does and does not sound good so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

they aren't the best by any means, but I'm sure they're decent. It really depends on what you want out of your subs. If you want pure quality or SLP then those probably aren't the subs for you. But if you're looking for a little more bottom end, then for $150 you can't go wrong :)

audiobahn is well known for making serious bass at the expence of sound quality. They get loud, real loud, but dont sound the greatest.

I agree with Paul. They're def. not the best in the world,, but if you're looking just to get some good low end bass, those will do the trick. Hopefully they don't blow as quickly as my friends 10" Audiobahns that he had...

I've had twin 10" audiobahns for like 2 years now, so far no problems. Then again, I'm only running about 200W max to them with my amp. Check my cardomain if you want.

When you say they dont sound the greatest does that mean they sound horrible or just not as good as it could with better subs?

Of course they won't sound as good as a better sub (hence the reason its better ;)) but any sub can sound decent as long as it's in a properly sized enclosure and getting fed plenty of clean power (within specs).

And remember, unless your and audiophile, you probably won't tell the difference very much between a decent sub and a good sub...not a great sub, I said good sub ;) (I know some people will jump all over that statement)

Just for an update; I bought these subs the other day and got them today and threw them in the car. I think they sound great especially for that cheap of a price. The only thing i dont like is the "chrome" grills. I havent figured out what I am doing about those but other than that I am extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks for all the help!!!!!

Too late to give my oppinion on the subs but hey why not I sell those subs and for the price you cant beat them. As for Audiobahn goin loud but not clean you can be way off.Its the amps that makes the noise. I use just one Audiobahn 1206 12" in a vented vega style enclosure. I use a d class 1600w rms Hifonics Brutus 1605d. I have it cranked down for cleaner sound. Ive had fosgate hx2s jl w0 and w3 boston acustics mtx8000 kicker cvr12. This sub outdoes them all.
