Anyone had problems with Gabriel shocks?

I bought some Gabriel shocks about 6 months ago for my '95 GT, within a few minutes after driving, they starting to make a clicking/banging noise. Checked everything out, all seemed fine. So I ended up taking them back and getting new. This happened a few times, and I FINALLY got a good set. I called Gabriel about the problem, they said chances are a guy on the assembly line didn't put locktite on one of the threads, making things come loose on the inside.

Well....6 months later, the noise started again! I didn't feel like hassling with this again, so I just broken down and bought some new Monroe shocks.

Just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem with Gabriel shocks?

I had a similar problem with monroe's cheap line of shocks...Wanted a quick fix for the back and they went out in less that 4 months, but because of the 1 year warranty on these ones I just kept swapping them out. If you went with the higher end monroe you shouldn't have the problems you were having.
