I installed a new starter in the car tonight, and when I turn the key, I have power to the whole car, the light dims when I turn the key, but the starter doesnt turn, or anything. I'm sure I hooked the wires up right, but it doesnt turn at all. there is power to the starter, good solenoid, all terminals, and connections are clean, and solidly connected, but it doesnt start.
Any help is appreciated.

The fact the lights dim when you turn the key to on and the starter tries to work, points to not enough power getting to the starter to turn the motor over.
So make sure the battery connections and the battery are clean. make sure crap has not built up inside the wires were they hook to the things that hook to the battery.
If everything is CLEAN, swap out the battery.
Your install in most likely fine, there is just not enough power getting to the starter to even make it click.

Just because it's 'brand new' (actually, 'remanufactured') doesn't mean the starter is worth a damn.
I've heard and seen 'new' starter motors out-of-the-box that were faulty.
So if charging the battery doesn't help, try a jump from another car.
If still no good, it's time to return the 'new' starter to the parts store.
Good luck.
