A J.D.Power poll indicates the top 10 vehicles bought based on their looks:

1) Chevrolet SSR
2) Chrysler Crossfire
3) Dodge Magnum
4) Chrysler PT Cruiser
5) Mini Cooper
6) Chrysler 300
7) Volkswagon Beetle
8) Ford Thunderbird
9) Mitsubishi Eclipse
10) Cadillac XLR

According to the same poll are the top ten ugliest vehicles.

1) Honda Element
2) Infiniti Q45
3) Pontaic Aztek
4) Mazda RX8
5) Chevrolet Avalanche
6) Scion xB
7) Toyota Celica
8) Lexus LS 430
9) Infiniti QX56
10) Mitsubishi Diamante


Looks like by popular opinion Dodge/Chrysler have the best looking vehicles with 4 on the top vehciles lsit purcased by looks alone, and none on the uglistest car list. I actually think Dodge products have improved over the years with exception of the mid sized trucks and SUVs.

Well, technically it said bought for looks, not necessarily good looks. Everybody wants to make a "statement" :lol: I would really hope that the results of the top 10 hottest cars would be MUCH different.

I dont really find the RX-8 ugly either. Or the avalanche.

As much as I think the RX8 is cool, I do think it's fugly. The roof line and rear slope doesn't match the rest of the car.

None of the top 10 best do much for me, except the XLR. The SSR is great and all, but a bit awkard looking from certain angles.



On the other hand, the 10 Least list..

I think an Avalanche without the body plastic can be damn sharp looking. I'd love to have one, but you'll never catch me paying for one, mostly cuz I can't. :lol:

'Ugly' is a matter of personal opinion. It can't be pinpointed to any one trait. It doesn't matter that you like it (You're entitled to your opinion), but regardless others arent going to like it. Don't forget, many called the 1999 Grand Am ugly as well. ;)

Actually, the Aztek is a Vibe on steroids...except the Aztek was out first, so the Vibe is the non-steroided Aztek. If that made any sense.

thats because the sunbirds had the turbo. yum, sweet sweet turbo.and they had those slim rectangle headlights that looked sooo great. I still say the TGPs are better than the STE sunbirds, however :D

No such thing as a STE sunbird, the only STE cars were the Pontiac 6000 and Grand Prix STE, wich also had the 3.1 Turbo, only 1000 were made. Althought i like the Sunbirds because of the fact they look better and Had a turbo yes, i like the head lights, like the ones that were like semi-pop ups. I wouldnt mine an STE Turbo Grand Prix, nice little sleeper!

That list is the worst list I've ever seen.

Half of the ugly cars deserve to be on the best list and vice versa.

The RX-8 is pure sex. Rotary or not. The body of that car is gorgeous.

I agree with shawn, and everyone also. I thing some should be on one list and some on the other, but it's a pole that many people voiced their opinions on. I happen to LOVE the avalance, but I know lot's of people that just think it's ugly. Why, I guess I'll never know. Also, I had before my GA, a 90' Sunchicken, opps, I'm mean sunbird SE, with the pop up light's. Loved the car, But the darn pop up lights brake easily. So for a while there I was driving a car that winked at everyone. But yes, I Freaking loved it. It was Black to top it off, I miss it......
