Yeah I'd recommend the Eagle One as well. Actually there are probably a few products that are similar to that. I'd smell them and pick which one smells the worst/most toxic yet is still "safe" for wheel finishes.

I wouldn't have used the bleach myself, but considering it didn't even work that's really something.

The funny part is those white wheels are painted and clearcoated similar to the car's finish, right? That's amazing that they won't come clean...

I'd say to scrub with a nylon brush as well but hopefully that won't wreck the paint up.

Best way to keep wheels clean is really to clean them on a regular basis. Leaving them for a long time makes it a lot harder to clean later on. I'm going to guess those weren't cleaned on a regular basis?

i have the same car with the same white wheels. i have spent hours scrubbing my knuckles bloody trying to get them as white as the car. finally i just asked a guy at a car shop what a good cleaning solution was. i told him about the white wheels for the pontiac and he said it was no use. they need to be re-finished or something. and thats the only way to get them clean. basically, you/we are SOL. they will always be stained. my solution... brand new wheels spring of '06 baby

Actually, he just bought this car a couple weeks back from the dealer.. But while it was in the lot, someone stole the wheels.. So the dealer went to the Junkyard and got those bad boys...

Yea, that's pretty much what he's leaning towards... Damn shame how wheels can get like that tho.. I wonder if it has something to do with them being painted and clearcoated? because.. as dirty as any of my wheels have ever gotten, they've never been stained like that... but then again.. I've never had painted wheels

If it's painted and clearcoated, how about trying some rubbing compound?

Try some Fantastic (or Simple Green, 409, etc.) and a Scotch Brite pad. If that doesn't work there's always alcohol, Bug and tar remover, WD40, polishing compound, paint thinner or gasoline.

If it's either organic or petroleum based, something should cut it. If it's stained into the clear coat, sand lightly and spray clear coat on it.
