Hi!
I bought this 93 Grand AM SE off of my brother-in-law (dirt cheap), and have been doing maintenance on it ever since.
I'm a qualified Sunday mechanic. ;)
Things I've done to this car in the past year:
-replaced the ignition electrical switch
-Replaced original radiator fan with slim Hayden fan (the original won't fit anymore: the car was ditched and hit a culvert, bending the front right frame a bit, prior to me owning it)
-patched the radiator with JB weld (the old fan dug into it)
-added a second radiator fan
-redid head gasket (after finding out that the radiator plug just popped off)
-replaced the rail fuel to fuel line o-ring countless times (it works better with the right part)
-added a transmission cooler
-replaced the battery
-added a class 2 hitch (the car isn't meant to pull more than a class 1 load)
-replaced wheel studs (after some tire shop stripped / cross threaded two of them)
-had front right lower ball joint replaced then front end aligned (which caused me to gain a full 1 mpg (!) )
...and I've got much more work to do.
I also delve into audio, when I have a chance. Right now I'm on a project to reproduce the speaker layout of a high end Mercedes (more on this later).
