I know that they make some sort of tint spray that some people use on tail lights and such. I'm wondering though, could you use this to tint windows?

Im sure you could but itd be really hard to get it on smooth and even. not to mention what the over spray will do. In the long run it would be easier, cheaper and smarter to just do it right.

unless you are a professional spray canist(sounded good, hehe) Id stay with actual window tint. Can most likely find a place somewhere that can do it for 150 bucks for side windows and rear window with a life time warranty, try to avoid Ziebart unless you just can't find anyplace. I went there and it cost me 200 bucks because I went with darker tint on the rear, which is a rip off, darker tint doesn't cost more, its the colored crap that does

Maybe, maybe not, it all depends on where you are. Around my area, I couldn't find anyone to do it for under 220 for my car, but I did get 20% on the doors and 15% on the back 3 windows.

Actually the VHT goes on pretty decently and dries pretty even.
I have used other colored tints on lights in the past and when they illuminate you can see the heavier areas and where the overlaps were.
With the VHT it's very even and consistant. I think mainly because it's much thinner and wetter when applied each stroke flows together well.

ive always wondered about using the VHT to re-tint my windows, but Ill never muster up the courage and risk messing up an entire window just to test this theory out
Props to anyone brave enough to see if it'll work!
I bet if it was carefully done and well masked-off, it would look great (provided it was sanded well, prepped well, cleaned well, and properly clearcoated. (it needs clearcoat to really shine, belive me!)
Actually, i think it would be easier if you removed the window friom the car so you could get to the areas where the weatherstripping and seals overlap the glass. (which would just be one big ball of fun  )
