So last night I saw a couple pictures of some Mazda 6's and really liked them. Just wondering what everyone thinks of the 6? Anyone know of any bad problems it has? I'm pretty sure I can't afford the turbocharged version, but speed isn't on the top of my priority list.

I'd want a black one, with some black wheels with the chrome lip and dark windows. Plus I love the headlights, finally I can have projectors. Anyone know if they are HID projectors or Halogen projectors?

I posted this in another thread this week:

I test drove and priced out a Mazda 6s, manual, sport package. Very "nice" car, but after driving it my impressions were:
-car was very heavy
-handling was too soft, but comfortable
-braking was great for that size/weight
-clutch, shifter, steering seemed very "disconnected" from the car... it was hard to "feel" when driving
-for a V6 with variable timing, it was really lacking low-end torque. What bothered me more... hard acceleration from a low RPM showed that torque was not applied smoothly at all... kind of in steps.

Like I said, not badmouthing it at all, but it just didn't appeal to me at all after my test drive.

In your shoes, the 6 is going to be rather pricey given your age and insurance rates. I personally felt that the car was perfect for a mid-price family sedan with a hint of pep, but honestly I wasn't that impressed.

Headlights are halogen, although have an additional halogen fog lamp built in.

Great, thanks for that quote. I took a look at some used 6s and they were all going for $16,000+ so I think I'll stick with my GA for a while. Maybe in a couple years I'll think about it more.

Yea, that would be much more wise financially. When that time comes, I'd advise you to test drive several different cars... even some that you aren't interesting in now. You may be surprised about which one is your favorite to drive... rather than purchasing one you like based on looks.
