K&N Filter question

I have been toying with the idea of getting a K&N filter to replace the stock filter in my GA. I dont really care about the cost of the filter because it is pretty cheap. What i would like to know is if i should expect any kind of fule mileage increase or a performance increase. I would appreciate any input.
