I had my alarm/keyless entry installed there but had my cd player installed at BestBuy,talked them into a free installation because I had bought the cd player and they were running the free installation on the same day thing but they were booked so they were trying to say we couldn't get free installation but got them do it anyways. Installation on the Grand Am's is easy as cake. Just get the wiring harness needed for the Grand Am(year and such) and the mounting kit and thats all you need,no special tools.
They do install fairly quickly,I dunno how much because BestBuy did mine for free.

ive bought four pairs of speakers from CC. First i got my POS sonys (6 1/2 and 6x9) they "blew" so i took them back a month before the warranty was up and had no problems. Got nice infinities to replace them. Althought i was told that they have to install them now for you or that will void the warranty if you do it yourself.

That's not true. The coverage plan takes care of anything other then physical abuse, no matter who installs them.

^Salesppl tell you all kinds of stuff to make more money, as in when installation isn't free, I'm sure they'll tell you stuff like that.
However, note that some car audio manufacturers do give you a better warranty if the product is installed by the dealer at the time of purchase. Examples of this are usually 2yr warranty instead of 1yr.

I know best buy gets 80 bucks to install separtes up front plus 15 for the adaptor plates and 8 bucks for the wrinign adaptors. I just had it done. plus dynamating the front doors....That was before discount. I would not let thrm do it again. The installer didn't install the dynamat correctly...he got the door rods stuck to the mat so you couldn't open the doors from the inside. Yes if it wasn't 20 degrees I would have do it my self.
I think you should just do the install yourself. you'll need like $38.00 in parts. 4x6 plates $15.00, two sets wiring adaptors or not $16.00, Torx 47 from sears $5.00. Dynamat the rear deck while you have it out and call it good.

Go online to Bizrate.com, you can find pretty much any speakers or head units and find the best price. The GA install is cake, except that you have to run a power wire from your fusebox with a mini fuse tap for a new Head unit. Circuit City isn't bad, but if you have to pay for the install I would do it yourself.

CC has good prices but they are a volume store, which does not pay their guys near enough to get a decent install out of them. I just bought my Pioneer DEH2700 from them, paid about $110, they also wanted to sell me 3 adapters, along with an install kit even after I told them I had an aftermarket HU and didn't need the stuff, total for install would have been about $86, for a "free install" mind you. Best bet is to install it yourself, not much work, just follow everyone heres advice and it will be fine. I used the factory wiring from the deck (which means I can't return the deck, CC rules), into the Metra VT-GMRC -01 adapter and into the stock wiring for the car. I still have door chimes and just ran the fromts off the deck and used my amp in the bck for the rear, no brainer. CC charges a bit much for their work in other words. mopowr79

NO DOUBT! I agree with the shitty pay, and their high prices for install (Satalite radio install just jumped from $58.28 to over $80.00!!!). They advertise "Free install" meaning the labor charge is free, but you still have to pay for parts (read the fine print of their ads). Isn't it a nice kick in the pants when you pick out the deck you want and go to ring it out and your slapped in the face with stuff you weren't expecting? You can thank your Sales associate for that. All that stuff should be mentioned to the customer as they are answering questions about the unit itself.
me = disgruntled CC Roadshop installer (still employeed, but in the process of starting my own Shop) . :D Hey, even though I might have my gripes with CC, Every vehicle I work on is done professionally.....its my reputation as an MECP certified Installer on the line, very few CC installers can say that.
