If I was to change the LIM gasket, what is the best gasket to get? I'm thinking about getting P&P intake manifolds.
Thanks.... Jeff

Is it leaking? I heard it wasn't so common in newer GA's 02.5+

No Trish it's not leaking. But I am thinking about ported & polished manifolds.

Just give them time. My '03 went at only 52,000 KM (30,000 miles).

Oh yeah Trish, I'd knock on wood if I were you... Knock on wood. LOL
At least don't count on it not failing... Those things can go at any time without warning! I really do hope yours stays good for as long as you have the car, but I wouldn't be surprised if it leaks one day.
As for the original question, another member here pointed out that Fel-Pro is making special "PermaDry" gaskets made with metal particles (or some such) for these exact problems. The set for the 3x00 is about $100 US which is about double what the regular Fel-Pro set costs, but likely worth it. I don't know how the price compares to the GM, but I'm hoping these new Fel-Pro ones solve the problem for good.
