Which alarm/remote starter would be the better one to buy? This week Circuit City is runing a special on their Python871XP for 379.99 installed. Or would the Autopage RS-855LCD be better? I looked on ebay and can order the Autopage for something like $167.90 I also have a dealer like a half hour away from my house. I was just wondering what you guys thought would be the better one to get, or have had the better experience with.

I say the autopage just because you get a spare remote. oh add in the 80 ignition bypass module and relay to turn on defoster. oh and another relay and install charge if you want the trunk to pop from the new remote.

Well the DEI Python you listed there doesn't have an LCD, so there's that. But most people will likely tell you the DEI has better build quality and is more reliable; I'm pretty sure that DEI would have better service/support than Autopage as well.
But then there's a rather large price difference, particularly if you'll be installing the Autopage on your own. The Autopage looks decent, and IMO (particularly since I'd be installing myself) I'd pick the Autopage given those choices.
As for $80 for an ignition bypass and an extra couple relays for defroster and trunk pop? That sounds a bit high, if you ask me. They shouldn't really charge you anymore to install the bypass, it should just be parts--it isn't that much extra work.

The $80 was the price from CC when I called them on the phone. I have the lcd viper719, that alarm only comes with one remote, and extra remotes are about 100 for a non-lcd and over 150 for the lcd version.
The 2-way is a good choice if it fits in budget. So if your inside work and want to start your car it will beep back to let you know it's started. Saves a trip to the window.
