I was just curious. Would it be at all possiable to swap a 3400 v6 Grand Am engine with a 3800 Grand Prix supercharged engine without making a heck of a lot of modifications?

Please search guys please
The short answer is to your question is no. You can do it with a hell of a lot of work but don't expect a walk in the park bolt on install.

Theres a company down south that does these swaps for a living, into any car. Heres the link, call them up and ask all the questions you have about the swap and how involved it is. It will give you an idea on whether or not its worth it or not. http://www.engineered.net/
Personally, stick with the motor you got,use the $$$ that you would be putting down for the swap and put it towards performance parts that are already out. I was looking into the same swap and came to a conclusion,Id rather put the $$ towards a RSM Racing SC kit, engine internals and some other goodies and will be just as quick,if not quicker then the stock 3800 SC motor, and prolly be under the amount that it would take to have that swapped in

I once drove a GTP with the COMP-G package (paddle shifters, super charger). When i hit full throttle it sounded like a jet taking off. It felt like i was glued to the head of a hammer being swung down by Chuck Norris

they are really fun to drive, the SC is pretty decent, lasts long too as long as you keep up on engine tune ups and oil changes. Ive seen 3800's come into the dealership with the SCs with like over 140,000 miles on them and the SC is still working with no noises that shouldn't be going on.
