I am trying to find a headunit which is XM ready or that has an auxillary input, and have been looking at alot of pictures of HU's I have the monsoon tape/cd/am/fm unit, and need the AUX function. But I do not see where the AUX will plug into. The back of these stereo's look exactly like mine and mine does not have the AUX option. Shouldn't there be a round AUX pin slot somewhere? If not how do u hook up an external piece of equipment to work off the AUX button?
I made this a new thread, cause I figured it is not on track with my old one.

It's best to go aftermarket

No, there's just probably wires/pins in the harness that are not used in your application. The other units would have the aux used by those pin inputs for the compatible changers or whatever it's inteded for.
If you want to know if you have the capability of using an aux-input adapter just go to a manufacturer's website and see if they have an application for your year and HU type. PIE, Peripheral, Soundgate and other companies all make such adapters, check out their websites... (Or have you already?)

USA Spec has what your looking for. Try Circuit City, its only about a $50 part in order to add an Auxillary input to almost any factory headunit.
